Ah. What a great trilogy. Diggers was certainly the worst, though - just felt so pointless until the end.

No, Diggers was annoying to read. I read it a second time a while back and I found it was quite a nasty little book. They get better as the go along, although Diggers is pretty forgettable.

Diggers was just there to set-up Wings. I honestly wasn't bothered about the rest of the Nome population - all they did was just sit around and moan.
