| One word: Mods.
Apparently that's why, anyways. Counter-Strike began as a mod of Half-Life before Valve nabbed publishing rights (because it was so damn good). And for ten years now, hardcore fans have been playing and modifying it ever since. Give it a go - I should one of these days. | |
